Our Story
The Organisation Lemesos 2030 - European Capital of Culture Candidate City was established in November 2022 by the Limassol Municipality as an independent organisation with the mission of bidding for the title in the first phase and in case of success, the course and implementation of the European Capital of Culture proposal until 2030.
The vision of the organisation is to create an inclusive and accessible route through culture and the arts, in order to (re)introduce and (re)define our city, while highlighting the challenges it faces; challenges that are unique and similar to those faced by the whole of Europe and its citizens.
Mapping of artists and organisations
We map.
We classify. We process.
Through questionnaires, we collect data and information in relation to the operation of cultural institutions, artistic events, groups and initiatives in the field of art and culture and also the function of artists as individuals, as entities with interdisciplinary or specialised activities. The mapping of the activity in the city (needs and prospects), as well as capturing the experience of everyday life or the answers on how we want to live in Limassol in 2030, will feed the creation of the bid book and contribute to the creation of a long-term cultural strategy.

The first questionnaire concerns registered associations, bodies or informal groups and the second concerns artists as individuals.
For individuals who are active either through an institution or a group or as individuals through collaborations and so on, please answer both questionnaires so that we can map the artistic and cultural activity in the city as comprehensively as possible.
