Lemesos2030 Network
What is the Lemesos 2030 Network?
It is an imaginary web consisting of people, groups, and organisations in tune with Lemesos 2030's objectives, who will embrace its vision, (co-)organise events or host Lemesos 2030 in other independent initiatives, thus actively contributing to the European Capital of Culture 2030 bidding process.

Steadily heading towards claiming the European Capital of Culture title in 2030, Lemesos has started weaving its own Network, launching an open call to organisations, volunteers, sponsors, and citizens who wish to embrace its vision.
Main objectives
The Network aims, among others:
- at empowering Limassol’s ecosystem through Culture and the Arts;
- at showcasing the local Limassolian identity, and at maintaining the city’s authentic character;
- at producing events and initiatives, while expanding art in every corner of the city and beyond its boundaries;
- at supporting and empowering the local artistic and cultural community;
- at enhancing the interaction between artists and cultural groups with other institutions and independent entities/individuals;
- at ensuring everyone’s accessibility and inclusion in artistic, cultural and social events, notably those of vulnerable and underrepresented communities;
- at adopting and implementing care, empathy, and acceptance practices in the city’s daily life;
- at creating safe spaces where all of the city’s social and cultural groups will coexist;
- at incorporating and empowering the European dimension on a cultural, social, and individual level; and, ultimately,
- at contributing to Limassol’s journey during the European Capital of Culture 2030 bidding process.
To whom is it addressed?
Lemesos 2030 calls upon all individuals who embrace its vision to claim a more human-centred, participatory, and inclusive city. An open digital database has been made available by Lemesos 2030, which invites the public to download open-use material, such as posters and digital badges, thus encouraging Limassolians to enhance the visibility and dissemination of the bidding process.
At the same time, the Organisation has launched a call to citizens who wish to join the Network, by becoming volunteers, sponsors, providers, or events co-organisers. Interested parties are encouraged to fill in a relevant form and express their interest:
