Daniel Barasa

'Trajectories' Working Group Member

Barasa Daniel is a Ugandan dedicated long-distance runner and social activist, currently advancing his commitment to sustainability and innovation as an MSc student in Green and Digital Management at the University of Limassol at the same time implementing his skills in project management, multicultural leadership, and immigrant support, advocating true inclusion and integration.


He is a BSc in Food Sciences and Technology (2023 graduate) from Cyprus University of Technology. A two-time Ethos and Social Contribution Award winner from Cyprus University of Technology (2022 and 2023), Young Athlete of the year 2019 and social contribution Award 2022 winner from Evzin Athletics club Cyprus.


He is the founder and the leader of Running-Fluent Initiative - a multicultural team championing for sustainability and social integration, the founder of Evzin Athletics Club - Uganda, and the Elite Racers Foundation Uganda.


Besides that, he is equipped with over 8 years of hands-on experience in food handling, he navigates the intricacies of food quality, safety, security, and sustainability. Speaks Greek, Fluent in English, Swahili, and 15+ East African languages. He is an advocate for positivity and cultural appreciation.
